My make-up

Maybe some of you are wondering which make-up I'm using.
It's quite simple, no mystery but not easy to find.

First, the red:
It's a compact red powder from Japan. I buy it in a specialised make-up shop: Katsuraya*, it costs about 10€. They sell make-up, hair accessories, wigs etc. Some for the kabuki/disguise/events.
It is important to use a basis before, any moisturising cream, shea butter will make the trick. If your skin is not a bit oilish the powder will not "glue" on the eye lids and will get a pale shadde.
Of course many of you will say: you have to use a primary, concealer, skin foundation or whatever...

No thank you, I tried the eye shadow primary, the result was awful. My eye lids were dry and the effect was bad.
This kind of product is not an obligation if you don't want to buy expensive stuffs like this 😉

*Katsuraya: If you are interested, you can find the shop in the Namba Walk, underground shopping gallery in Osaka.
I will investigate to see if such shop can be found in Tokyo.

-------

To apply the red, I dont use a brush, just a normal eye shadow tip. Mine are simply from Daiso shop in Japan. This pack costs only 100yen (less than 1€).

Why not a brush? Well, I noticed that with a brush the powder in the case is gone more quickly.
I use less with a tip.

------
Then, I apply a waterproof eye liner.
Isadora brand, 13-14€ I find them in the Inno shop in Brussels.
This is the best I found so far. It's a real waterproof, when it's dry, you can't remove it with water easily.
To comapre, many other "waterproof" brands let some strains after you clean with water.
Her, to remove it you need an oil based make-up remover.

Of course, no miracle, if you scrub your eyes, small pieces will start falling. But no smokey effect will result ;)
Sometimes I also draw the line on the lower eyelid, and I never had the effect of "black tears" (crying, rain etc)
This one has a thin tip not a brush. I find it more easy to apply as I draw a thick line on the eyelid.
To get perfect lines you have to train a bit. Make sure to not move eyes, etc.

------

The final touch: the black pencil.
Years of searches to find THE pencil.
The blackest ever I found is this one. It lasts really longer.
Brand AVON, gel eye-liner pencil.
It is strong enough to replace an eye-liner but I don't recommend tof use it like this as it's not waterproof.
You can create nice smoky effect though.

------

Then, the little last touch: eye brows.
I use a brown pencil from Yves Rocher. I try to keep them as natural as possible.
For this, don't draw a strong line, use it like a pencil on a paper to create a shade.
Also keep the color more light when you start from the inside (noose line side)

------
That's it.
I never use any skin foundation etc. It doesn't look good on me, and it gives me spots the day after. Unless you need to get a photo shooting or stage appearance, let your skin breathe ;)
